Ran Kevita (The Golden Rod) is a highly popular Sri Lankan Sinhala children's fantasy film franchise directed and written by Udayakantha Warnasuriya. The story blends comedy, traditional folklore, and magical realism. It follows two young boys who discover a way to see spirits and take a magical, wish-granting stick from a supernatural entity.

Suran goes to town to spend the next vacation with Janith, and he takes demon (Gopalu Yaka) with him.They manage to hide Gopalu in the house but in town the demon hardly gets any place to hide from the sunlight which is unbearable to him.However at night, Gopalu become normal and active.
