The blind opera star Maria Struck is kidnapped by the gangster brothers Harry and Frank Kaschke, but manages to escape and causes an accident involving Tom and Semir. Maria is in shock and is cared for by the police. Their investigation leads to Maria's lawyer Dirk Schneider, who seems suspicious and claims that the kidnappers are demanding ransom again. It turns out that Schneider is behind the kidnapping plan, killing the gangsters and misleading the police, while Maria's ex-husband Wiesner is wrongly arrested.
