In East Sussex, 43-year-old property manager Kora, debonair 63-year-old estate agent Stephen, 49-year-old fake tan fan Maria and 27-year-old full-of-beans fitness instructor Jonny compete for the £1000 prize. Kora is convinced her Jamaican grub will win her the cash, but Jonny's unusual behaviour unnerves the rest of her guests, and Kora and Stephen clash over his old-fashioned views on housewives, before Stephen labels her muffin lumpy and attempts Jamaican patois. On his night, Stephen, who recently became single, cooks a menu to impress a new love interest, but his charm offensive falls flat when Kora picks his food apart. Maria is desperate to impress picky Kora and opts for a menu of convenience food so that she can spend more time with her guests.
