Coronation Street (1960)

10x28 7 Apr 1969

It's Easter Monday. Elsie tries to contact Dave who is on a business trip to Doncaster. Ray sees that she seems down. Hilda wants to do something as it's a Bank Holiday and suggests a walk in the Peak District followed by a cream tea. Stan reluctantly agrees. Alerted by Ray, Len calls on Elsie and finds her in a foul mood. Ena, Minnie and Alice buy food in for an Easter tea, avoiding Maggie's questions about joining Albert's coach trip to Bury's Fusiliers' Museum. He can't locate anyone who had bought tickets. Dave returns and goes straight to the bookies where Ted tells him that Elsie has rung him several times. Lucille agrees to go out with Ray for the day. Dave receives a letter which troubles him and tells Ted that he's off out again. Stan and Hilda brave the Rovers in their walking gear before setting out. Ena reveals to Annie that every one of the pensioners are boycotting the trip due to Albert's behaviour towards Alice. Puzzled, he waits alone with the coach driver.
