Storyline
Vera finds Terri Clayton writing a love letter to Mike. Ivy worries that Terri's slow work will affect the girl's bonuses. Mike tries to get rid of Terri but she threatens him with a tribunal and accuses him of treating her like a tart. Ivy tells the girls that if Mike can't get rid of Terri they will. Renee makes Alf get rid of his bowler hat; he looks younger without it. The girls scare Terri off. She leaves the factory. Alf, Renee, Gail, Ray, Deirdre, Len, Stan and Hilda go to see Rita at the Gatsby Club. The Rovers' bar flap falls on Ernie's hand when a Darts Player accidentally drops it; now Ernie can't play the piano for Rita. The replacement from the audience, an old lady called Fay, can't play any of Rita's numbers; Rita is furious. A drunken Alf proposes to Renee. She accepts.
