Eighteen-year-old student Jessi has a date. But not at a disco; she heads to the nearby woods on the outskirts of town. A short time later, she's dead. First, a carbon arrow hits her in the thigh, then a knife stabs her in the heart. When a jogger finds the body the next day, it shows bite marks and has a twig in its mouth. The Saarland investigative team, led by Chief Inspectors Leo Hölzer (Vladimir Burlakov) and Adam Schürk (Daniel Sträßer), is faced with a mystery, as the twig in the mouth points to an old hunting custom. Is this a ritualistic crime?
