Conan and the Detective Boys arrive at a newly opened candy store. Chindon-ya is playing, and plums are handed out, perhaps in celebration. For the first time, the Detective Boys are obsessed with sweets, but Conan doesn't seem interested. Genta gets angry at Conan and says "You're acting like an adult!" The two get into a fight, and Conan decides to go home alone. On the way, an old gentleman jumps out of the alley and asks for help, saying, "I saw the dead omelet rice!"
