Muldoon and Arcaro are transporting a material witness to jail when a hitman known as “The Bumper”, because he uses a car as his weapon, forces the detective’s car into an oil truck. In the flaming explosion Muldoon is burnt to death. Heartbroken, Halloran makes an all-out effort to get the killer.
