Ellen welcomes LaShandria Williamson and her 22-year-old son, Shakir Aquil, from Atlanta, GA. Shakir is an army sergeant and he has not seen his mom in two years due to being stationed in Virginia and deployed to South Korea. LaShandria is a former Atlanta police officer, who currently works as a resource officer at Therrell High School. Last week, Shakir surprised LaShandria during a pep rally at her school and the video of their reunion has gained national attention.
