Nicole hears from the vent Eric while he is having his nightmare. Marlena almost tells John about Kristen and Brady,but is interrupted yet again. Daniel tells Maggie that he can't see Jennifer. E.J. asks Kristen to provide a distraction for Rafe while he pursues Sami. Nicole expresses her concerns to Eric about what she heard. Maggie suggests that Daniel go to Smith Island and is certain that nobody will bother him while up there. Kristen doesn't get the news she had hoped and refuses to let Marlena ruin her plans. Marlena tries to figure out Kristen's end game. Nicole overhears Maggie saying where Daniel went and decides to head there herself. E.J. and Eric bump into one another and discuss Nicole and Sami.
