Serena listens in as Nicole demands Eric answer her question about whether or not he's going to tell Daniel anything, but all Eric says is he will never hurt Nicole. He goes, and Nicole sees Serena, momentarily panicking. What did she hear? Serena claims she heard nothing. They start to get into another fight but are interrupted by Aiden. Nicole asks him about filing a civil suit against Xander and Serena. Nicole tells Serena that even if her lawsuit doesn't pan out, she can destroy Serena in the press. Earlier, Daniel admits to Hope that he intends to propose to Nicole when the time is right. Hope wishes him well. Nicole goes home to Daniel's, where she almost discovers the diamond ring. Daniel stops her just in time. Meanwhile, Serena wonders what Eric and Nicole's secret is. Hope joins Aiden, who has planned a very romantic overnight for them at a country inn. They celebrate the anniversary of when they first realized they cared for one another. They waltz again, then make love.
